Our large range of publications in the field of foreign language textbooks is a testimony to the high level of professionalism of the teachers at the Centre.

Over more than fifty years, the Centre has issued over eighty foreign language textbooks (English, German, Italian, French, Spanish and Croatian), written by teachers from the Centre.

The Croatian language textbooks for foreigners: Učimo hrvatski 1, 2, 3, and 4 are highly sought-after.

  • Vesna Kosovac and Vida Lukić are the authors of the textbooks Učimo hrvatski 1 and Učimo hrvatski 2.

Učimo hrvatski 1

This textbook is aimed at foreign students who are just beginning to learn Croatian. It contains basic vocabulary, sentence structures and phrases for everyday communication. Apart from mastering written and oral communication skills, the students are introduced to Croatian culture and civilization.

The book is intended for use over 70 teaching hours for first level study of Croatian as a foreign language. The textbook set also includes a workbook and a CD.

Učimo hrvatski 2

This textbook is a continuation of "Učimo hrvatski 1" and is intended for students who have mastered basic grammatical structures, vocabulary and phrases for simple, everyday communication in Croatian.

The textbook also contains a great deal of interesting information about history, civilization, everyday life and customs in Croatia. The set includes a CD.

  • V.Kostrenčić, M.Kovačiček and V.Lukić are the authors of the textbooks "Učimo hrvatski 3" and "Učimo hrvatski 4".

Učimo hrvatski 3

This textbook is suitable for independent study or for language classes, and for practice for those studying Croatian as a foreign language.

It is a continuation of our teaching materials which have been in use for many years. The text of the main instructions, vocabulary and grammar overview has been translated into English and German. The set comprises the textbook and workbook in one volume, and a CD.

Učimo hrvatski 4

Using a modern approach, this book continues to explain more complex language structures in speech and writing and offers a wealth of information about Croatian culture and the linguistic environment.

All teaching units can be adapted to be used at various paces, and they may also be easily augmented from other authentic oral or written sources such as newspapers, radio, television, films etc.

Along with the textbook and workbook (in a single volume) there is also a CD available.
