The controller for this website and most online processes is SVIJET JEZIKA adult education institution, registered with the Commercial Court in Zagreb, OIB 08889648110, MBS 080628860, represented by Miranda Kmetović, Director. When a different controller is explicitly stated for a specific form, contract, invoice or administrative process, such as FOREIGN LANGUAGE CENTRE plc, the details of that controller also apply.
When processing personal data and protecting individuals with regard to such processing, we apply Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and take care of the security of the data you provide while using www.vodnikova.hr.
Processing principles
We process personal data lawfully, fairly and transparently. Only adequate and relevant personal data are processed, strictly for specific, explicit and legitimate purposes, and they are not further processed in a manner incompatible with those purposes.
The personal data we process must be accurate and, where necessary, kept up to date. Inaccurate data are erased or corrected without delay.

Categories of data we may process
Depending on the service, application or communication, we may process the following data:
- name and surname, father’s and mother’s name
- residential or temporary address
- personal identification number (OIB)
- date of birth, gender, country and place of birth, nationality
- mobile number and other contact details, including email address and telephone number
- ID card or passport number and place of issue when required for application and records
- information about the contractual relationship, exam application or online testing application
- information about language, module, selected date, testing, exams, payment and contractual documentation
When we collect data
When you visit our website, we collect the minimum amount of personal data necessary and use it only for the purpose for which it was collected and about which you were informed.
If you send us an email containing personal data with questions or comments, we use those data solely to respond to your request.
For online testing, exam applications for external candidates, applications for court interpreter exams, workshop applications and similar processes, we use your data for contact, student records, processing applications, organising testing and exams, analysing website visits and sending information about our services when an appropriate legal basis exists.
Consent
We process personal data on the basis of consent when no other appropriate legal basis or contractual relationship exists for the particular processing activity. Consent means any freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous indication of the data subject’s wishes by which they, by a statement or by a clear affirmative action, signify agreement to the processing of personal data relating to them.
Legal bases for processing
We process personal data only to the extent that at least one of the following conditions is met:

We also process and retain personal data in accordance with the Croatian Adult Education Act, regulations governing public certificates in adult education, andragogical documentation, and archival retention rules.

- delivery of educational services and the learning process
- answering your enquiries and resolving requests
- sending promotional materials and advertising when consent or another permitted basis exists
- communication with students and other purposes based on written consent
Recipients of data
Personal data are strictly protected and available only to persons who need them to perform their work. Data may be available to authorised employees, teachers, accountants, hosting, email and maintenance providers, legal and accounting advisers, and competent authorities when there is a legal obligation to disclose them.
Retention periods
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which they are processed. Contact enquiries are generally retained for up to 12 months from the last relevant communication, unless a contractual or other longer-lasting relationship arises. Data related to enrolment, students, testing, exams and issued certificates are retained for the periods prescribed by educational, accounting and archival regulations.
Analytics, marketing and external services
Google Tag Manager and related analytics or marketing tags are loaded only after you consent to analytics or marketing. YouTube videos and Google Maps are loaded only after consent to external content, and you can change that decision at any time via the cookie settings in the footer.
Your rights
