Recognised exam for external candidates and final exam for students who want an official certificate from A1 to C2.

Official Certificate

How to Obtain an Official Certificate

The Svijet jezika certificate is an official document that can be entered in the electronic employment record. You can obtain it by attending a course and taking the final exam or by taking the exam independently without attending the course.

1. By Attending a Course

The final exam and official certificate are included in the tuition fee at the end of modules II, IV, VIII, X, XIV and XVI.

2. By Taking the Exam Without a Course

If you already have sufficient knowledge of the language, you can apply directly for the exam and obtain a certificate without attending a course.

Free Pre-Testing

If you are not sure which level to apply for, pre-testing is free and shows the relevant level of knowledge before you apply.

What the Certificate Allows You to Do

  • enter your language level in the electronic employment record
  • continue learning at a related institution in Europe
  • find it easier to get jobs where a foreign language is a prerequisite

Application and Payment

Application:
In person at the Svijet jezika office, Vodnikova 12, or through the online application form below.

Application and payment deadline:
10 days before the exam date.

Cancellation:
No later than 24 hours before the scheduled date. In case of later cancellation or absence, 20% of the exam fee is retained.

Apply for the Exam

For External Candidates

  • If you are not sure which level to apply for, you can take free pre-testing: the written part online and the oral part by phone.
  • The application form can be completed online or in person at Vodnikova 12, first floor on the left, room 102.
  • An application without payment is incomplete and will be considered invalid.

For Svijet jezika students

  • A1 is taken at the end of module 2, A2 at the end of module 4, B1 at the end of module 8, B2 at the end of module 10, C1 at the end of module 14, and C2 at the end of module 16.
  • Taking the final exam and issuing the certificate are included in the tuition fee.
  • At the end of the other modules, a final test is taken and a confirmation required for enrolment in the next module is obtained.

The Written Part Includes

  • 1Grammar structures test and reading
  • 2Writing an essay on a given topic
  • 3Listening and comprehension

The Oral Part Includes

  • 1A short interview with the candidate
  • 2Spoken interaction on a given topic
  • 3Spoken production or a presentation on a given topic

The oral exam lasts approximately 20 minutes.
